Anybody presently or formerly associated on the University of Illinois needs to have some item of Fighting Illini clothing or gear. At least a coffee mug. Hopefully selected Fighting Illini clothing of some kind. A few are gallant to retain their wardrobe filled with orange and blue. Mine is, positively, and it’s the items I dealresolve with, out of pridefulness or nostalgia or both, to hold the cleanest.

Yes, emphatically you’ll catch other gear across the days, but nothing compares to the orange and blue. I may even call up former buddies of back there, every now and then, to throw a ball about in my uncut grounds. (One more matter to attend to.) It won’t surprise you to recognise that the Fighting Illini stick together — so there’s a lot of orange and blue rolling around in the muck.

Many of us who stayed nearby, hoodies are as everyday as a Saturday uniform in the fall. One of my bigger friends however wears his sweatpants with Illinois embroidered down the side. My pal, the Fighting Muel, Samuel hitched his Illinois hottie and there’s a challenge here for all of us – how to commute from the end of childhood into the commencement of adulthood. And be positive.

That comes with risks though. Equal to being one of those couples that wears twin baseball caps. He wears a blue cap with orange bill; she wears the orange cap with blue bill. It’s something you get used to. Geekiness is sometimes the fee of contentment.

But those colours all begin to blur when everyone’s running around anyways. The orange and blue gets a little soggy, but the comic stories and old jokes get kicked up on the rest of the forage. Anyways I forever and a day set out to win, and regularly end up with my back collapsed by my 2nd biggest acquaintance, who thinks it’s very laughable to take a seat on what he knows is my preferent hoodie.

As a rule that’s how it goes, ending up in the forage with my mucky Fighting Illini sportswear, remembering the days back when. Absolutely, the sportswear gets grimy, but it likewise gets cleaner than the rest, seems like. Only till the following get together and it happens erst more.
