MLM – If You Lived To Be 950 Years Old
Let’s do a little think tank exercise. What if you could grow your multilevel marketing business for about 1000 years? What if you just built it for–say–a couple dozen years and watched it grow for the next 900 or so? Really “out there?” A little too far-fetched to even entertain in your wildest dreams? Well, stay with me here for about 10 seconds longer…
You’re in for a real “eye-opener” today, because I’ve just been busy getting some fresh advertising ideas, when I crashed headlong into the following news item from Yahoo News. It just got me thinking…
“Who wants to live forever? Scientist sees aging cured”
(What a mind-blower! Right?)
“LONDON (Reuters) – If Aubrey de Grey’s predictions are right, the first person who will live to see their 150th birthday has already been born. And the first person to live for 1,000 years could be less than 20 years younger. ”
“I’d say we have a 50/50 chance of bringing aging under what I’d call a decisive level of medical control within the next 25 years or so,” de Grey said in an interview before delivering a lecture at Britain’s Royal Institution academy of science.”
Since the scientist is projecting these numbers, I’m using 950 years–the first thing that entered my mind was Noah, (you know–in the Bible), 950 years old when he jumped ship. In any case it’s a lot of years for you network marketing business to grow.
Okay, you’re skeptical. So what, you were skeptical when you started your multilevel business, too, right?
O.K So what differences will we need to incorporate into our relationship building? We have to have those, so we need to think a little more “long-term.” How do we build a relationship that will last several centuries? We still want “repeat” customers–that’s where the residual is, after all.
So let’s start thinking in work from home marketing terms here. Is forming relationships going to be any different if we are building them to last for dozens of decades? Do we have to think of new techniques? Are there different tools we have to have to build relationships that will last that long?
Even in the short term, long term thinking will build a stronger network marketing business. And probably your residuals will grow larger as an effect of having stronger bonds with the people you bring into your business. Then, if you should happen to live…
So, let’s recap. You’ll still have the same business procedures, the same relationship building skills (only with a longer-term perspective), and a stronger and larger customer base. The accumulated results only make the “big picture” enormous!
All of a sudden, (if you’ve been following the thought process I have), you might be thinking of retiring to another world! Maybe the rest of science will catch up with our network marketing progress and… Well, let’s just say the possibilities are endless.
(I promise I won’t actually need that many, but I’m not going to be the only entrepreneur growing his mlm business. You’re going to be there, too, right? If not, could you send me a list of your customers?)
If you have thoughts like mine–we need to talk about some new network marketing business strategies.
